March 2, 2018 – ISSP Executive Director Maureen Hart is quoted in the GreenBiz article, Green jobs are alive and well, and these 6 companies prove it. “In spite of or perhaps because of the current political climate, the private sector appears to be increasingly embracing the responsibility of evaluating and responding to environmental and social sustainability-related risks," Hart said. “These include risks to supply chains and resources, risks to customer bases, risks to facilities and employees, and reputational risk if organizations are seen as being part of the problem rather than the solution."
February 22, 2018 – GreenBiz included descriptions of the ISSP-SA and ISSP-CSP professional credentials, and quoted ISSP Executive Director Maureen Hart article, in an article titled Is a green MBA worth your time and money? September 27, 2016 - In an article on the Study International website, which focuses on news for international students, ISSP founder and former ISSP Executive Director Marsha Willard is quoted about the maturation of the sustainability profession and the inclusion of sustainability in higher education offerings. As Marsha points out, the power of a degree in sustainability is “increasing as each day passes."
September 16, 2016 - Observations from ISSP Executive Director Maureen Hart are included in a CEO Update article about how associations are pursuing a wide range of strategies to educate members and measure the environmental, social and economic impacts of industries. “It’s not just about reducing your energy or waste,” Maureen said. “A lot of it has to do with changing the culture (of an organization) and being able to make the business case for sustainability.”

April 1, 2015 - ISSP member Mary Singer of CRG Sustainable Solutions recently partnered with ISSP board member Dr. Sarah Lewis PhD, to form a new chapter of ISSP covering the Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi regions. The pair hosted the inaugural meeting of the new chapter in conjunction with the First Annual Earth Month Business Conference this past April in Memphis. March 15, 2012 - ISSP Board Member Ira Feldman Participates in EPA Listening Session on Sustainability: Last year a National Academy of Sciences panel issued a report to US EPA with recommendations about incorporating sustainability across all of the Agency's programs and activities. EPA is now conducting a number of “listening sessions" with invited experts and stakeholders in order to develop a response to the recommendations. On Thursday, March 15, ISSP management team and board member Ira Feldman will participate in an EPA listening session on disclosure information and sustainability reporting. Others invited to this session include Mike Wallace of GRI, Curtis Ravenel of Bloomberg and Jeff Burke of the National P2 Roundtable.
