Right Here, Right Now

It seems that the call to action on climate change in the wash-up of the UN Climate Action Summit is gaining traction. Perhaps symbolic of this was dance artist Fatboy Slim mixing Greta Thunberg's UN speech with his club favourite, "Right here, right now" for a live show last week. Sustainability professionals play a key role in guiding the transition to a low carbon, equitable and prosperous future. Exactly how we can continue to best make this contribution is the central theme of our Global Congress. The dialogue at the Congress will be significantly deepened by the experience and knowledge that ISSP members bring – for example, the vision and leadership of industry pioneers Janine Benyus and Vandana Shiva, who have been inducted into the ISSP Sustainability Hall of Fame and will be honoured at the Congress Awards Dinner. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to hear from these global thought leaders and to be part of shaping the future of our profession – register now while regular rates apply.

As the role of our profession becomes evermore central, we are always looking to engage with new professionals. To this end, we have launched a limited trial 30 day free membership to allow a wider circle of sustainability practitioners to experience the benefits of being part of the ISSP community – please invite those with whom you work to join us and see. Lastly, an update on the ISSP Board: We are very pleased to announce that Trisha Bauman, CEO and founder of TJBauman, has joined the Governing Board bringing welcome expertise in strategic leadership communications. Trisha takes the seat of Sarah Lewis, who has been a long-standing member of the ISSP Board and has made a valued contribution over the last years, drawing on her experience with the Sustainability Consortium.
